Every Iceland elopement you see is a real elopement, with real couples, with real vow ceremonies — no models or faked elopements here, friends.
Eloping couples who said ‘yes’ to themselves and ‘no’ to the BS.
It was a hot summer Iceland day for this private mountain valley elopement.
These two came to Iceland with a few of their favorite people wanting a truly private, romantic, and intimate elopement.

Iceland Elopement in a Blue Ice Glacier Cave in South Iceland.
It’s no wonder eloping to Iceland has become a popular choice for Adventurers eloping from all over the world. I have couples who come here from Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, all the way to China. With its unique and beautiful landscapes, it's easy to see why! If you're considering eloping in Iceland, consider doing it in a glacier cave! Glacial caves are truly a one-of-a-kind experience that you won't find anywhere else in the world. Here are some things to think about when eloping in a glacier cave in Iceland.
There’s something so special about an elopement in Iceland that is just the couple, in a private and meaningful ceremony, overlooking a beautiful fjord.
I started photographing weddings almost 20 years ago (what, how) and I’ve been involved in my fair share of wedding days. Over 300, actually. I’ve been a part of weddings with 650 guests, down to just the usual 150 to 200 guests. I’ve been side-by-side with the couples in every type of wedding from the super-luxury where the flowers alone cost over 6-figures (yes, over $100,000 on flowers), to micro-weddings in quirky breweries, to weddings in theme parks.
Ashley and Kevin planned a Reykjavik ceremony and a Snæfellsnes, Iceland elopement that was filled with special details and deep meaning. From a custom kilt to a love story fit for a movie screen, this couple proved that elopements can be everything you have ever dreamed of.
Fun two day elopement in Iceland on Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Sometimes just one day of photography in the EPIC landscapes of Iceland is simply not enough for your Iceland elopement.
This Iceland vow renewal was so intimate and romantic, it’ll make you want to jump on a plane and renew your vows here too!
Libby and Tripp’s South Coast Iceland Elopement had everything (and more) that I’ve come to expect when shooting on the south side of the island—the epic scenery of the South Coast of Iceland, constantly changing weather, and an ever-changing playground of possibility.
This private Kirkjufell Mountain Elopement in Iceland was the perfect balance of laid-back and low key mixed in with big-sky romance.
This rainy day Iceland elopement had the cutest DIY details. Eloping in Iceland is always a big adventure giving the most epic elopement photos, but sometimes the weather has a mind of its own. Which means being spontaneous during your elopement day will make the adventure event more unique.
Steph & Shane chose to rent out an entire CASTLE for their elopement! The Culzean Castle, in Scotland. They had a private ceremony, just the two of them, in the castle gardens. Having been friends for many years before they admitted to having secretly fallen in love with one another, eloping in a castle made perfect sense!
The black church in Budir is a classic Iceland elopement choice and was perfect for this adventure micro wedding elopement with a traditional ceremony including their family and friends.
My. oh my. Strap in friend-os because you’re about to witness the most awesome, epic, and perfect Iceland elopement. This elopement had everything: DIY dress made by the brides mother and grandma-in-law, a picnic at the top of one of the most SPECTACULAR & MAGICAL waterfalls in all of Iceland, a private ceremony in downtown Reykjavik then an ultra private vow reading ceremony at the top of a 405ft canyon, and even some Mars and Venus in between.
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula in Iceland is one of my top 5 favorite places on the planet. It was perfect for Lindsay & Ryan’s Adventure Elopement. It has #allthethings and it is absolutely breathtaking no matter what kind of weather we are having that day.
Reykjavik Harbor was the perfect place for Anne & Chris’ Elopement. As an Adventure Elopement Photographer & Planner, I love helping to find the perfect place that will capture your own personal love story.
Ayaka & Andrew knew that Snaefellsnes and the Londrangar Lava Pillars would be the most epic location for their Iceland Elopement. These two were incredibly sweet on each other, we had so much fun together during their wedding day, and they were 100% game for ALLLLL the adventure on their day.
Iceland elopement at the little black church in Búðir on the Snæfellsnes peninsula in Iceland was one for the books. It was off-the-charts-hard-to-top, and I mean it.
Danielle & Cynthia’s Iceland Elopement at Secluded Waterfall is on the blog today, and it’s a beautiful one.
Something these two really wanted to still do even though they weren’t having a traditional wedding was to make sure they had special details for their wedding day.
I love how Rena & Chad trusted me 100% to be their Photographer for their Iceland Elopement in Secret Canyon. When we were rained out of our first location, they knew that where ever else I had in mind to go would embody these two and their love completely.
I absolutely love that being an Iceland Elopement & Wedding Photographer gives me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful, warm souls. These two decided to get married in Iceland and I could not be happier that we had the opportunity to become friends and they gave me the honor to document their day.
Winters in Iceland can be pretty cold and pretty darn windy. That did not stop these two from having the most intentional vow reading together that they could have.

We had such a fun, summer storybook romance kind of day that was the quintessential meaning of freedom. I love Snæfellsnes Peninsula, it was one of my first loves the very first time I ever visited Iceland before I was a resident. It’s filled with folklore, saga stories, hidden people, trolls, and is the inspiration of so much literature.
