Gown #1 | Romantic 1910’s English Vibe Gown
So I LOVE some vintage vibe gowns. This beauty was worn during Danielle & Cynthia’s Iceland Elopement in the summer time. I knew it had to be in this list of stunning alternative wedding dresses. You can totally be bold and pick non-white if a white wedding dress ins’t YOUR vibe. Danielle got this dress as a bridal party gown and it fit in SO WELL with the Icelandic landscapes and was a perfect summer wedding dress.
And, while we are at it, check out Cynthia’s grey-blue suit! If you are not wanting to wear a dress you ABSOLUTELY don’t have to.
Gown #2 | Bold Colored Modern Gown
Lisabel & Sarah’s private waterfall elopement was a perfect backdrop for both of their non-traditional wedding dresses. They both chose to wear more modern cut gowns in beautiful colors: a BOLD eggplant gown and a softer blush gown. I just love when a couple is NOT afraid of their love for color. Having a pop of color for your adventure elopement will not only express your personality but also help you pop from the landscapes.
Gown #3 | Knitted Wedding Dress Cover-Up
When you’re having an adventure elopement outside in the natural elements, you never really know what the weather is going to be like. Rebecca wore this over her dress which kept her warm and gave her a variety of looks. I am always a huge supporter of being cozy whenever possible.
Gown #4 | Yellow, Airy with a Train Gown
Who said you can’t be the sunshine on your wedding day? NOT ME that’s for sure! I was so in love with this sunny gown that Alexandria wore on her elopement is one of a kind! It was handmade by her mom and grandmother-in-law!. And notice the waist cape details on the back (which was so much fun to play with as we adventured around some of my favorite places in Iceland).
Gown #5 | BOLD RED Game of Throne Vibe Gown
Talk about a Red Wedding, these two brought ALLLL the Game of Throne Elopement vibes to their day. And it was amazing. Do NOT be afraid of color! If you love bold red? ROCK IT.
Gown #6 | Non-traditional Color with a FREAKING CAPE Gown
Okay now I LOVE an “extra” bride. Someone who knows from the start an alternative wedding gown is for her. Wants a gown in color and with all the ruffles, and let’s just add in that EPIC FREAKING CAPE too just for fun!
