Secret Iceland Proposal close to the Blue Lagoon in a beautiful rainstorm — this is what dreams are made of.

T&H came to Iceland on a vacation and T knew he wanted to propose before they even arrived to Iceland. And, if we’re being honest, H knew that he was going to propose to her on this trip to Iceland — she just didn’t know when. And this is where I enter the story.

For this couple, their Iceland Proposal photo session was hidden in a ‘regular’ Iceland couples’ adventure session, which is how T got H to dress up.

We had our little story ready to go so she wouldn’t expect a thing. And, it was a success. She did not think it would happen at that moment and was ready for just a regular couple’s Iceland photo session. T and I had a code word for when they were in the right spot and when he felt ready to propose.

The code word was said, H fell for it, and then T started his Iceland proposal speech to her.

After his speech, he got down on one knee, with the Icelandic mountains in the background, and a bit of rain being backlit by the sun. She said ‘YES!’, and immediately a rainbow appeared. So like all good Iceland photographers do, I yelled ‘‘RAINBOW!’’ and we ran to it.
