South Coast Iceland Elopement at Waterfall and Caves | Iceland Elopement Photographer

Libby and Tripp’s South Coast Iceland Elopement had everything (and more) that I’ve come to expect when shooting on the south side of the island—the epic scenery of the South Coast of Iceland, constantly changing weather, and an ever-changing playground of possibility.

Being an Iceland Elopement Planner, as well as an Iceland Elopement Photographer, allows me a very unique perspective and opportunity to really engage with my clients because I get to spend so much time getting to know them. And, an added bonus is that I get a feel for the level of adventure they’d like to tackle, which allows me to let my creative flag fly and design them a ridiculously rad adventure, mixed in with all the romance that eloping in Iceland carries with it.

This is why I LIVE for planning, coordinating, and shooting Iceland elopements! It’s also why I chose to move to Iceland and fully immerse myself in the country and the culture—so I could explore and find all the places that regular tourists or photographers visiting from other places never get to experience. In a nutshell, living in Iceland allows me to plan and shoot completely unique, mind-blowing Iceland adventure elopements for all of my couples, which is exactly what I did for Libby and Tripp for their South Coast Iceland Elopement!

I knew right away that these were my kinda peeps! I mean, a bride who chooses a bouquet of black calla lilies and feathers is definitely a keeper! Not only that, but Libby’s main goal for their elopement on the South Coast of Iceland was to stay as chill as possible (which we did, because it was about minus one million degrees outside—haha!) and just enjoy the experience. Again—no stress and go with the flow—dream couple!

And Holy Stressless Adventure Elopement, Batman! Libby and Tripp were up for anything and they took everything—wind, harsh afternoon light, chilly-brr waterfall spray, and my “Let’s go up there! Let’s go over here!” suggestions—in perfect stride! And, since Libby wore tights and hiking boots under her dress, she stayed warm(ish) and we were able to hoof it all over the place, stopping wherever we wanted to create some timeless, romantic images in the stunning surrounding scenery.

Libby and Tripp had some super memorable moments during their elopement! A dog came out of nowhere to visit during their First Look, which was fun! And their ceremony was, basically, on top of a private waterfall. Talk about friggin’ magical! Tripp teared up during Libby’s vows and Lib’s dad came with them and I could feel how happy and proud he was to witness their marriage, despite freezing his butt off! Once their ceremony was done, we explored—stopping wherever we found something epic—and ended up with so many amazing images by waterfalls, in caves, on mountain tops!

And this, THIS, is what I love so much about being an Iceland Elopement Planner and Photographer. What could be better than showing my adventurous clients the most beautiful (and often unknown) places in this beautiful country while also being immersed in the high-vibing energy of their rad love? And I felt that love, so keenly, while we hiked around the South Coast, enjoying the day and each other.
