Búðir Iceland Black Church Elopement in Snæfellsnes | Iceland Elopement Photographer & Planner

Rebecca and Adam’s big day was the perfect mix of elopement and micro wedding! They chose to run away and spend their wedding with the people they feel closest to in the whole world, and there’s something so beautiful in that kind of simplicity. The couple chose Iceland because it’s one of the places in the world they could agree truly inspired both of them, making it the perfect fit for their epic elopement!

The black church Budir is a classic Iceland elopement choice.

The church itself was built in the 1800s and has been gracing the landscape with its beauty, becoming an icon of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula ever since. Seriously, I will never get sick of this church. The beginning of Rebecca and Adam’s wedding had a traditional feel. They got ready separately at Hotel Budir and had their first look outside in front of the church, finishing the morning with an emotional ceremony opposite their closest friends and family.

The best thing about Iceland is also the most challenging—the ever-changing weather.

The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is one of the most beautiful and versatile areas in all of Iceland. On Rebecca and Adam’s wedding day, it showed it’s beauty in full force, casting an unbelievably epic rainbow that started in the morning, and lasted throughout the entire ceremony! I couldn’t believe my eyes, and it resulted in some amazing images!

The rest of the day was an epic adventure.

One of the things I loved about this wedding was the perfect mixture of traditional and adventure.

After the ceremony, we took off to scale a dormant volcano crater, visit cliffs by the sea, and take photos in so many other stunning spots! Rebecca’s dress was Wtoo and with it’s beaded details and short sleeves, it was the perfect outfit for this epic day!
